Day 35: Visit the Palmer Museum of Art

Visit the Palmer Museum of Art on the Penn State campus for free. The museum offers an ever-changing array of exhibitions and displays of its permanent collection. With eleven galleries, a print-study room, 150-seat auditorium, and outdoor sculpture garden, the Palmer Museum is a unique cultural resource for residents of and visitors to the region. There are currently three exhibits:

• Atelier 17 in America: 1940–1955
  

• At the Heart of Progress: Coal, Iron, and Steam since 1750 Industrial Imagery from The John P. Eckblad Collection

• Taxing Visions: Financial Episodes in Late Nineteenth-Century American Art
